Martin Grabois, MD, is professor and chairman of the department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Grabois is board certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He specializes in acute and chronic pain syndrome. Dr. Grabois earned his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia. He completed his internship at the University of Wisconsin Hospital, returning to Temple University for his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation.


Benoy V. Benny, MD, is assistant professor for the department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Benny is board certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He received his medical degree from the University of West Indies, completed residency training in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the University of Texas Health Science Center-Houston, and completed an interventional spine/pain and musculoskeletal fellowship at the University of Michigan. Dr. Benny provides invasive and therapeutic pain management services with special interest in spine and spine pain management, the most current non-surgical treatments, interventional fluoroscopic guided injections and treatment for shoulder, knee and hip pain.


Barry S. Smith, MD, is associate professor for the department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Smith is board certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He received his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia and completed residency training in physical medicine and rehabilitation from the Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in Louisville, KY. Dr. Smith provides general rehabilitation services with special interest in sports medicine, musculoskeletal disorders and spine rehabilitation.


Michael J. Vennix, MD, is assistant professor with the department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Vennix is board certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine. He received his medical degree and completed his physical medicine and rehabilitation residency training at Baylor College of Medicine. He obtained fellowship training in electrodiagnostic and nerve conduction studies at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Vennix practices electrodiagnostic medicine and has a special interest in compressive nerve injuries such as carpal tunnel syndrome and radiculopathy as well as brachial plexus and other traumatic peripheral nerve injuries.
