Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation

The department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) offers a full range of rehabilitation services for patients suffering from traumatic brain injury, stroke, amputation, spinal cord injury, musculoskeletal disorders, neuromuscular diseases, and neurosurgical and orthopedic trauma. Our specialty is inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services, consultations, pain management, and electrodiagnostic testing (EMG and nerve/muscle testing).

Our goal is to cure patients' physical medical ailments rather than simply treat the symptoms. Our preeminent academic environment allows us to fulfill that goal through physical rehabilitation services, state-of-the-art clinical facilities and leading-edge practitioners and research faculty. All patients are treated with compassionate, courteous and expedient care.

We provide extensive follow-up and continuity of care, so that our patients may fully optimize their quality of life. We welcome all patients, including the severely disabled, taking on cases that others deem complex - and providing outstanding results.

This is my first visit to Baylor Clinic and I am very satisfied. I did not have to wait long to see the doctor. During my appointment she took her time, asking me questions. The employee at the front desk was very courteous and friendly.
