Interventional Pain Management Center
The mission of the Baylor Interventional Pain Management Center is to provide patients with a personalized approach to the treatment of chronic pain, thus we are paving the way to improve the quality of life for patients living with chronic pain. The center emphasizes a multi-disciplinary team approach in caring for our patients. We offer a wide array of treatment options including interventional procedures to alleviate pain, limit the amount and duration of pharmacotherapy as well as improve the patient's daily functionality.

The Baylor Interventional Pain Management Center manages the following conditions:

Veena Basava, MD, is an assistant professor and Director of Interventional Pain Management in the Department of Anesthesiology at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Basava is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology in both Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine. She received her medical degree from Guntur Medical College, India. She completed her Anesthesiology residency and Pain Management fellowship at Western Pennsylvania Allegheny Health Care System in Pittsburgh.
Dr. Basava joined the Baylor College of Medicine Department of Anesthesiology in 2011 and initiated the pain management clinic.Her special interests include management of back and neck pain, neuropathic pain, complex regional pain syndrome, and interventional pain management.
