Our Approach
The Vulvovaginal Health Clinic at Baylor College of Medicine is a referral, consultative practice. Our role is to provide specialized knowledge and our expert opinion to help women and their primary physicians move forward with confidence in a successful treatment plan.
At the Vulvovaginal Health Clinic at BCM, we work closely with all parties involved - the patient, primary care physician, gynecologist and other specialists - to provide treatment that addresses each woman's unique needs, relieving her pain and discomfort and restoring her quality of life.
When testing is necessary, we provide a timely, detailed report to the referring physician, including our interpretation of tests results. Patients can follow up with the referring physician, or they can be sent back to us for ongoing care.
Timely, Thorough Appointments
Many of the women referred to the Vulvovaginal Health Clinic at BCM have already seen numerous doctors in search of relief. We take the time to understand each patient's history and the testing and treatments they have been through.
We also believe in seeing patients as soon as possible to ease their concerns, diagnose their condition, and begin proper treatment. The sooner women come to see us, the greater our success in treating them and the faster they can return to their normal activities.
