Hematology/Oncology

The section of Hematology/Oncology at Baylor College of Medicine, part of the Margaret M. and Albert B. Alkek Department of Medicine, offers expert, compassionate patient care for those suffering from cancer or a blood disorder. We also conduct leading-edge clinical and basic science research to advance the fight against these deadly diseases, and educate medical students, residents, fellows and faculty members in the areas of hematology and oncology.

Our patients benefit from accurate diagnosis, innovative treatment options and comprehensive care, delivered by oncologists and hematologists with extensive experience and training in a broad scope of cancers and blood disorders. We treat patients at The Methodist Hospital, St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital, Ben Taub General Hospital and the Michael E. DeBakey Veterans Administration Medical Center.

We continue to make valuable inroads into improved patient care through cancer research. Our patients have an opportunity to take part in the cancer discovery process through participation in clinical research trials aimed at expediting the transfer of laboratory findings to bedside therapies.
