Dana Camp-Farber
When Dana Camp-Farber relocated from California to Houston, finding expert medical care was a top priority for the new Texas resident. Dana's health concerns include high blood pressure and high cholesterol, which can sometimes be early warning signs of heart disease. She was committed to finding expert medical care that placed a premium on her cardiac health.
"When I read about the Women's Center for Comprehensive Care at Baylor College of Medicine, I felt I had found a diamond," Dana says.
There's little question why the Women's Center is quickly becoming a jewel of the Texas Medical Center. At Baylor Clinic, Dana found a friendly, private setting filled with caring physicians committed to her heart health.
"Cardiologist Ildiko Agoston was very helpful," Dana says. "It was not a hurried interaction. She took her time to get to know who I was. It put me at ease. It made me feel like she cared."
And best of all, in addition to monitoring her heart attack and stroke risk, Dana received a complete assessment of all her women's healthcare needs - in one convenient location and all in one day.
"I was taking the day off from work and I wanted to make sure my time was productive, says Dana, an elementary school teacher. "I often see some of my colleagues run all over town for their medical care. I appreciated the coordinated care at the Women's Center for Comprehensive Care. When it comes to healthcare, you have to be your own advocate and seek out the best physicians. Form a partnership with your doctor and be proactive about your health."
