Gastroenterology & Hepatology

The section of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, part of the department of Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine, specializes in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of digestive tract and liver diseases. We offer prompt evaluation and endoscopy for a full spectrum of gastrointestinal (GI) complaints, including complicated reflux disease, gastroparesis, refractory nausea and vomiting, chronic abdominal pain, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), abnormal liver function and chronic Hepatitis B and C. We are also proud to offer one of the nation's best liver transplant programs.

Our patients benefit from minimal wait times, courteous service, highly trained specialists, advanced screening and diagnostic services, state-of-the-art treatment and close patient follow up.

We also offer the benefits of electronic medical record sharing and on-site radiology and lab services, avoiding duplication of tests and expediting your care and treatment.

Each of our physicians specializes in a particular area of interest, including pancreatobiliary, motility, IBS, IBD, hepatology, and advanced endoscopy. Patients are promptly directed to the appropriate specialist for the best possible care.

Our most common referrals are for colorectal cancer screenings. We offer these patients prompt evaluation and open access endoscopy.

I was very impressed with the interior of the building - it was the first time I had been here. I found your staff to be professional, courteous and friendly. When I went in for my scan, I appreciated how friendly my caregiver was, how she took the time to explain the procedure, and her skill at drawing blood. This place is first class.
