Biography
James B. Stafford IV, MD, assistant professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in the hand and upper extremity. Dr. Stafford is board certified in hand surgery and plastic surgery.
Dr. Stafford earned his medical degree from The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, followed by an internship and residency in general surgery at Parkland Health and Hospital Systems and The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, Dallas, Texas. He received his plastic surgery training at the University of Virginia, followed by a fellowship in hand surgery at the internationally recognized Strickland, Steichen, and Kleinman Hand Center in Indianapolis.
His professional memberships include the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, American Association for Surgery of the Hand, American College of Surgeons, Houston Hand Study Group, Harris County Medical Society, Indiana Hand Society, Parkland Surgical Society, and Texas Medical Association.
