Biography
Rubin S. Bashir, MD, assistant professor of Orthopedic Surgery, specializes in orthopedic spine surgery. Dr. Bashir is trained in all aspects of operative and non-operative management of degenerative spinal disease, spinal stenosis, neck and back pain and herniated disks. He has extensive training in minimally invasive and microscopic techniques in addition to lateral access spine surgery and disc replacement technology. Dr. Bashir earned his medical degree at Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC. His training includes an orthopedics residency at the University of Pittsburg Medical Center and a comprehensive spine surgery fellowship at the San Francisco Spine Institute.
