Management Team

Jeffrey R. Steinbauer, M.D., Medical Director of Ambulatory Operations, Baylor Clinic

In addition to serving as Medical Director of Baylor Clinic, Jeffrey R. Steinbauer, M.D., is a professor and a board-certified family physician in Baylor College of Medicine's Department of Family and Community Medicine. An advocate for high-quality patient care delivered with the patient's perspective in mind, Dr. Steinbauer is enthusiastically pursuing efforts to improve customer service, implement advanced technology – including electronic medical records (EMR) – and bring new processes of care to the clinical setting.

Dr. Steinbauer earned his medical degree from the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City and completed his residency and internship in Family Practice at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. He began private practice in the small town of Clay Center, Kansas, where he gained a broad range of experiences taking care of the needs of his patients from birth to death. Three years later, he followed a family tradition of teaching and joined the faculty at the University of Oklahoma School of Medicine.

Dr. Steinbauer's clinical interests include geriatrics and primary care counseling.

Thomas J. Riley, M.B.A., Executive Director of Ambulatory Operations

As Executive Director of Ambulatory Operations for Baylor College of Medicine, Tom Riley is responsible for coordinating and directing the clinical operations in Baylor Clinic. He is charged with ensuring a well-run, integrated, multidisciplinary practice that offers accessible, efficient operations, delivered within a culture of service excellence.

Previously, Riley served as Gulf Coast Division Project Manager for HCA and as a senior manager in the Healthcare Consulting division of Cap Gemini Ernst & Young.

He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, and his Masters of Business Administration (M.B.A.) and Health Services Administration from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina.
