Dr. Stephen Sigworth serves as the clinical physician leader for the Faculty Group Practice and will oversee the evaluation and management of the physicians in the outpatient clinical setting and all clinical practice sites and is responsible for all related financial and productivity metrics.

Stephen J. SpannStephen J. Spann, MD, Vice President, Primary Care Network Development

Dr. Stephen Spann is responsible for developing a strong referral base in Houston and the surrounding counties for the Faculty Group Practice. In addition to these responsibilities, Dr. Spann is a professor and chair of Family Medicine. He received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine and completed his residency in family medicine at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, NC. He completed postdoctoral work in clinical epidemiology and health services research at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill and is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. His primary interests are preventive medicine, diabetes, and medical diagnostic dilemmas.

Jeff SteinbauerJeff Steinbauer, MD, Chief Medical Information Officer - Faculty Group Practice

As chief medical information officer, Dr. Jeff Steinbauer supports the development of clinical information systems that assist clinicians in the delivery of patient care in the Baylor Clinic environment. He also serves as a technology advocate by promoting the use of information systems in the clinical setting and facilitating the design and integration of efficient workflows with clinical technologies. In addition, he works closely with information technology professionals to translate clinician requirements into specifications for new clinical systems and technologies. Dr. Steinbauer also serves as director of Referral Network Development of the Faculty Group Practice and leads the Express Care Center at Baylor Clinic.
